Hi, everyone. My name is Adam, and I like to eat. So, I’ve learned to cook a bit to support this habit. I also want to keep everything. Estate sales, thrift stores, and online auctions offer a thrill of the chase. This has lead to a collection of culinary ephemera over the years.
I started collecting cookbooks and ephemera to mock in amazement at the outrageous recipes and artwork. As I read more, I realized how much food teaches us about our history and culture. I expanded my sites and discovered how food production, consumption, and enjoyment change over time. Our foodways heritage shows what we value and how we view life. I hope to share my love of food and history through recreating and reviewing vintage recipes for today.
